Pumping away waste water containing sewage

If your toilet, shower or kitchen is below sewer level, the waste water has to go up. For that you need a pump that can handle sewage and toilet paper — an ordinary dirty water pump jams on it.

Two ways to solve it

  • Large free passage. The pump lets the solids pass through it whole. You then need a discharge pipe with a sufficient diameter.
  • Cutter (MultiCut). A cutting mechanism reduces the solids before they enter the pump. That makes a thin discharge pipe possible and is the answer where space is limited.

For a permanent installation in a home or commercial building, a complete lifting station is usually wiser than a loose pump: it has a sealed tank, a non-return valve and level switching. For reliability in a critical application we recommend a twin-pump version and a high water alarm.
