Als het water ver omhoog moet

De opvoerhoogte is het hoogteverschil dat de pomp moet overbruggen, plus de weerstand van de leiding. Die tweede wordt vaak vergeten: een lange of dunne persleiding kan zomaar een paar meter aan “virtuele hoogte” toevoegen. In deze collectie staan de pompen die 20 meter of meer aankunnen.

Zo rekent u het na

  • Statische hoogte: het verschil tussen het waterpeil en het punt waar het water uitkomt.
  • Leidingverlies: hoe langer en dunner de leiding, hoe meer weerstand. Bij twee keer zoveel doorstroming verviervoudigt de weerstand ruwweg.
  • Gewenste druk aan het tappunt: 1 bar komt ongeveer overeen met 10 meter opvoerhoogte.

Tel die drie op en zoek een pomp waarvan de curve daar ruim overheen loopt. De opvoercalculator helpt u daarbij. Gaat het om water uit een diepe bron, kijk dan bij de bronpompen.
