Pros and cons:
+ Pump housing, motor housing and impeller in stainless steel 1.4436, motor shaft 1.4462 (duplex)
+ Closed single-channel impeller with 50 mm free passage: handles solids and fibres
+ Double SiC/SiC mechanical seal with a separate oil barrier chamber, oil checkable from outside
+ Suitable for pH 3 - 14, seals and O-rings in Viton
+ All types also available explosion-proof (II 2 G Ex c d IIB T4)
− Free cable end: a control panel with motor protection is required (available separately)
Stainless steel submersible pump for chemically aggressive waste water:
The HOMA CTP50 is an all stainless steel submersible pump for corrosive and chemically aggressive dirty water and waste water containing solids. Think of process waste water from the food and drink industry, breweries, silage effluent, electroplating plants, laundries and the pumping of liquid chemicals. Where cast iron or plastic gives up after a few years, stainless steel 1.4436 with a duplex motor shaft lasts many years in practice.
The closed single-channel impeller has a free passage of 50 mm. As a result the pump does not quickly jam on sludge, fibres or solids. The shaft seal consists of two mechanical seals in silicon carbide, independent of the direction of rotation, with an oil barrier chamber in between. That chamber can be checked from the outside.
Which CTP50 do I need? The /4 types (1450 rpm) are quiet and wear-resistant, for large volumes at a low head. The /2 types (2900 rpm) reach more pressure: up to 31.4 metres. The HD version is built for high pressure at a smaller volume. Choose the EX version if the pump will stand in a potentially explosive zone. If in doubt, we will gladly calculate the pump selection for you.
