A hose that comes straight out of the coupling kinks exactly where it has to turn. With a pump in a sump, a tap against a wall or a tank in a corner you run into this every time: the hose folds double, the flow drops away and in the end the rubber splits. This GEKA coupling makes the turn before the hose does, with a 90-degree tail.
What you use it for
- A pump in a sump or crawl space, where the hose has to go straight up after the coupling.
- A tap or wall outlet where the hose would otherwise kink tight against the wall.
- A rain barrel, IBC tank or water reservoir with little room beside the connection.
Which size do you need
The size is the inner diameter of your hose. We state it in millimetres with the inch size after it:
- 12 mm (1/2")
- 19 mm (3/4")
- 25 mm (1")
The tail slides into the hose and you secure it with a hose clamp. If in doubt, measure the inside of the hose, not the outside. For a thicker hose, see the straight hose tail: it goes up to 38 mm.

Note: this is not a Storz
GEKA and Storz both click together with lugs, but they do not fit one another. GEKA has a single lug spacing of 40 mm and belongs on garden and work hoses; Storz has lug sizes from 52 to 133 mm and belongs on construction pumps and discharge hoses. If you are not sure which system you have, look at the distance between the lugs.
