Collection: Submersible pumps with a high flow rate
Here are the pumps from about 20 cubic metres per hour. Remember that the stated maximum only applies at zero back pressure: as soon as height and pipe resistance come in, the flow drops. Work out your duty point before you choose.

A lot of water in a short time
If an excavation has to be dried out, a basin emptied or a flooded space cleared quickly, the flow rate is what counts: how many cubic metres the pump moves per hour. This collection holds the pumps from about 20 m³ per hour upwards. Looking for something lighter? See all submersible pumps and filter on the flow rate you need.
Note: flow rate and head go together
A pump only reaches the stated maximum flow at zero back pressure. As soon as height and pipe resistance are added, it drops. A 30 m³/h pump that has to lift eight metres through thirty metres of hose delivers considerably less in practice. Work out your duty point with the pump calculator before you choose.
Also consider
- Voltage. Above a certain power rating 400 V is needed; check what is available on site. See the 400V construction pumps.
- Hose diameter. A high flow through too thin a hose costs you most of your capacity. See the hoses and couplings.
- Weight and lifting gear. These pumps are heavy; allow for a chain or lifting eye.
