Pros and cons:
+ Resistant to chemically aggressive water: salt water (up to 15%), brine and condensate
+ Motor housing and motor shaft in highly resistant stainless steel
+ Automatic float switch, lockable for continuous operation
+ Cooling jacket with discharge on top: cooling even at a low water level
+ More powerful than the CH140: 12.5 m³/h and 10.5 m head
− Free passage 10 mm; for coarse dirt a dirty water pump with a larger passage is better
Submersible pump with float switch for chemically aggressive water:
The HOMA Bully CH150 WA is a submersible pump for water that an ordinary pump cannot cope with for long: salty regeneration water from a water softener, brine, condensate from a condensing boiler or swimming pool water. The motor housing and motor shaft are made of highly resistant stainless steel; the outer housing, suction strainer and impeller are of impact-resistant glass-fibre reinforced plastic. So nothing rusts away where the aggressive water flows past.
In practice a standard dirty water pump in a softener sump often seizes up within a few years because of salt deposits and corrosion. Can an ordinary submersible pump handle salt water? Briefly, yes, but for a permanent installation with salty or chemically loaded water a CH version like this one is the better choice.
The CH150 is the more powerful version of the CH140: 12.5 m³ per hour at a maximum head of 10.5 metres. The float switch turns the pump on and off automatically according to the water level. The cooling jacket keeps the motor cooled even at a low water level.
Scope of delivery:
Pump with automatic float switch and float lock, 10 m connecting cable with mains plug, elbow with seals, integrated non-return valve, double nipple and double socket with integrated non-return valve.
