With the electronic HPS2 pump controller your garden pump becomes a fully automatic domestic waterworks: you open the tap, the pump starts; you close it and the pump stops. A pressure vessel is not needed, because the HPS2 measures both pressure and flow.
What exactly does it do?
- Switches the pump on when the pressure drops and off when no more water is drawn.
- Built-in dry-running protection: if the supply fails, the pump stops before the mechanical seal is damaged.
- A non-return valve and a pressure gauge are included, so no separate fittings are needed.
You mount the HPS2 on the discharge port of the pump. In practice a pump without dry-running protection often fails because the well runs dry during a hot summer. With this controller that is a thing of the past.
