You want to know about a high water alarm before the water is standing in the cellar. The HOMA AL3 alarm panel gives a visual and audible signal as soon as the water in the sump or lifting station rises too high. With a 9 V block battery (available separately) the alarm keeps working during a power cut as well.
Which version do you need?
- AL3 without level detection: if you already have a float or sensor of your own.
- AL3 with float switch (10 m cable): the standard choice for a sump or tank.
- AL3PS+EL3 with electrode sensor: measures the level with an electrode instead of a float, handy where space is tight.
- AL3PS+EL3+PUKIT: the same as above, plus a mounting kit to attach the sensor to the pump.
- AL3PS+2SW: also controls the pump (on / off / alarm) with two float switches.
In practice an alarm is often only fitted after the first flood. Hang the float a few centimetres above the pump stop level, so the AL3 warns in time and not during every normal pumping cycle.
